ABOUT BONNIE BLOOMS
I’m Amy, the florist behind Bonnie Blooms, a wedding and event florist based in Shotley Bridge in the North East. I started the business after training at Tallulah Rose Flower School, beginning with gift bouquets before naturally moving into weddings and larger floral work.
Today, Bonnie Blooms focuses on wedding flowers and event floristry across Newcastle, Northumberland and Durham, creating relaxed, natural designs that suit the setting and the people they are made for.
WEDDING FLORIST IN THE NORTH EAST
Weddings are at the heart of what I do. I work with couples across the North East to design flowers for the full day, from bridal bouquets and buttonholes through to ceremony spaces, reception tables and installations.
I am based in Shotley Bridge and regularly work at venues across Northumberland, Newcastle and Durham. My role is to guide you through the process, shape the ideas you share and create wedding flowers that feel considered, natural and right for the space. I don’t work to strict recipes or cookie-cutter designs.
I manage all client communication, planning and floral design, supported by a trusted team (Granny Pat at the front!) who help me with prep, delivery and setup on the day.
EVENT AND FLORAL DESIGN
Alongside weddings, I create flowers for events, gatherings and corporate work across the North East. This includes floral styling, installations and arrangements designed to enhance a space and create atmosphere.
STYLE AND APPROACH
My work is known for a relaxed, natural feel, with movement, texture and focal blooms at the centre. I’m drawn to designs that feel generous and full without being overworked.
Each project starts with the space, the vibe and the people involved. From there, the flowers take shape.

THE KIND OF WEDDINGS I LOVE WORKING ON
I tend to work best with couples who want flowers to feel like part of the setting rather than an add-on. The focus is on creating arrangements that feel right for the space and the people in it, not following a rigid recipe or chasing trends.
